Based in Livonia, Michigan, Underground Infrastructure Services (UIS) provides inspection and replacement infrastructure services for underground utilities in the water, gas, cable, fiber, and electrical markets. Serving customers ranging from local municipalities to large utility companies, one of UIS’s specialties is the inspection and remediation of lead service lines — using its ability to excavate in tight, sensitive areas using non-mechanical and non-destructive hydro-excavation and horizontal drilling methods.

The UIS acquisition will help Duke’s Root Control, a Comvest Partners portfolio company, bring new and unique capabilities to a broader growing market at a time of increased attention and federal and state spending focused on the delivery of clean and safe drinking water.
