Arjun Murthy is a Managing Director at Cascade Partners, where he leads the firm’s Infrastructure and Construction Services vertical. He brings nearly 15 years of investment banking, corporate finance, and operational experience advising business owners, entrepreneurs, and investors on sell-side, buy-side, and capital raising engagements for private and public middle-market companies.

Murthy’s focus has been dedicated to the built environment, advising owners and investors across electrical contracting, HVAC and mechanical services, insulation and weatherization, underground and utility infrastructure, general contracting, and other specialty trades. Most notably, he served as a long-term advisor to Norlee Group, helping build one of the first pure-play electrical contracting platforms in the U.S. — including advising on five acquisitions, one divestiture, arranging all the acquisition financing across the balance sheet and placing three lines of credit, and the platform’s ultimate recapitalization with Heartwood Partners. He authors Cascade’s Electrical Contracting and Utility Infrastructure M&A research, is a frequent resource to owners navigating succession, recapitalization, and sale processes in these sectors, and serves in board observer and advisory roles. His transaction experience also extends across specialty industrials and business services, including the recent sale of Thompson Aluminum Casting to Arcline-backed American Casting Company.

Prior to joining Cascade, Murthy was the Senior Manager of Corporate Development for TriMas Corporation (NASDAQ:TRS), a ~$1 billion diversified global manufacturer serving primarily consumer, aerospace, and industrial end markets, where he managed corporate development, M&A, divestitures, capital investment, and commercial planning, as well as TriMas’ acquisition pipeline and strategy. Previously, he held senior associate and director roles at leading regional investment banking and lending institutions.

Murthy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business and a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Strategy and Finance from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business. He maintains Series 79 and 63 licenses with FINRA.

In his spare time, Murthy loves spending time with his wife and three children, wrestling with his golden doodle, and playing golf whenever possible (but continues to be awfully bad). Additionally, he enjoys traveling, Michigan sports, and live music.
