Cascade Colleague – Emerson Fisher

News

Cascade Partners is proud of our talented and diverse team and honored they chose to build their careers with us.

Cascade Colleague Emerson Fisher

Meet Emerson Fisher, Vice President – Cascade Partners. Emerson leads the execution of transactions for our clients, working hand in hand with our internal team, external advisors, and investors to achieve successful outcomes for each client. He also leads our execution team and manages staffing, recruiting, and process improvement efforts.

“There are several things I really enjoy about working at Cascade. The team is great to work with, and I enjoy coming to work and spending time with everyone. We work hard but have a lot of fun at the same time. It is also very rewarding to see the impact we have on our clients and their families after they have spent years or even generations building a business. Each engagement is unique and presents different challenges and problems to work through, so the work never gets boring, and I’m always learning something new.”

– Emerson Fisher

Initially, Emerson was drawn to investment banking for the opportunity to learn about different industries and business models, to work with business owners and a range of well-respected professionals, and to apply his analytical and technical skills. The fast pace and career growth opportunities were added bonuses. Today, he still loves the opportunity to learn and grow each day, but the reasons he stays are the ability to positively impact clients’ businesses and families and to teach and mentor other team members. The latter of which you can see evidence of daily as he coaches and encourages team members throughout the organization.

At this career stage, he has learned to focus on people skills and building relationships. He would have advised his younger self to concentrate on these skills earlier. “The technical skills are important to master, but being able to build trust, demonstrate expertise, manage emotions, and lead people through a major transition are skills that truly have an impact on career progression,” says Emerson.

Emerson and his wife enjoy traveling as much as they can. They also love exploring metro Detroit’s wealth of restaurants and bars. Competitive by nature, he plays soccer, volleyball, pickleball, or “any sport of game that’s competitive.”

A true nerd at heart, he is currently fascinated with astrophysics and learning about the origins of the universe.
