MedTrak Systems, Inc., a North Muskegon, MI developer of healthcare software, has been acquired by CompassCare, Inc., a Lake Forest, IL provider of occupational healthcare management systems. MedTrak Systems, Inc. developed the MedTrak System, an end-to-end solution for medical clinics and critical care units that tracks patients from registration through aftercare instructions and billing. MedTrak enables physicians to communicate with staff, patients, employers, insurance providers, government agencies and others, compressing return to work time, controlling costs and improving billing accuracy and worker productivity. MedTrak Systems, Inc. was founded in 1994.

CompassCare offers to Occupational Healthcare stakeholders (Employers, Care Providers, and TPA/ Case Managers) a sophisticated and highly integrated management system that connects all parties together in “real-time.” By providing instantaneous access to HIPAA-compliant information on an injured worker, all parties have the tools they need to manage the information and activity associated with workers’ compensation in “real time” over the Internet. As a result, all parties can benefit from improved quality of care and better financial/operations management. CompassCare was founded in September 2001 to fulfill a vision to dramatically improve business and operational efficiencies in the Occupational Healthcare industry.
